Recommended file formats for balloon printing
Vector files (recommended)
For the best printing results, use vector files such as AI, EPS, or PDF. These files can be scaled without loss of quality and are ideal for screen printing.
PNG or JPG
Alternatively, you can also use PNG or JPG files. Please ensure the highest possible resolution so that your design can be printed clearly and sharply.
Fonts and logos
Please convert fonts to paths or provide the fonts used. Logos should preferably be provided as vector files to ensure optimal print results.
Print area and line width for balloon printing
For your design to be printed optimally on the balloons, the print area and line width must be taken into account.
The maximum print area varies depending on the type and size of the balloon.
Imprint area on balloons
The printable area on balloons is limited and depends on the respective balloon size.
Examples of typical print areas:
- Latex balloon Ø 30 cm – approx. 15 × 15 cm print area
- Heart balloon Ø 30 cm – approx. 15 × 15 cm print area
- Giant balloon Ø 60 cm – approx. 40 × 40 cm print area
- Giant balloon Ø 100 cm – approx. 50 × 50 cm print area
For foil balloons, the print area varies depending on the shape and size.
Please ensure that your design is placed as centrally as possible within the print area and leaves sufficient margin to the edge.
Minimum line width
For screen printing, we recommend a minimum line width of 0.5 mm.
Very fine lines or small details can be lost during printing. This happens because thin lines can get caught between the mesh of the screen and therefore not be fully transferred to the balloon.
For optimal printing results, we recommend:
- Line width of at least 0.5 mm
- No excessively fine details
- Clear shapes and easily readable fonts
